Circulating Progenitor Cells Predict Microvascular Outcomes in Type 2 Patients

This recent study provides further support for the correlation between and low level of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and Type II Diabetes.  “Diabetes lowers the levels of circulating and endothelial progenitor cells, which promote vascular repair and correlate with cardiovascular outcomes.”
