The relationship between tumor growth and the formation of new blood vessels.

Capillary proliferation after tumor induction in rabbit corneas shows that endothelial activity increases after tumor induction. These studies suggest that proliferation of cells for tumor growth is stimulated by a migration of endothelial cells, which provides new capillaries for abnormal growth. It suggests that inhibiting blood supplies can curb the growth of tumors.
