In this model for evaluating nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) uses with postoperative inflammation, curcumin was investigated in comparison with phenylbutazone and placebo. The results showed that phenylbutazone and curcumin both produced a better anti-inflammatory response than placebo.
