Stem/Progenitor Cells and Lung Tissue Repair

This study demonstrates that stem/progenitor cells contributed to the repair of injured lung in irradiated mice. Progenitor stem cells derive from bone marrow and have the ability differentiate into multiple tissue cells, including lung, to repair and regenerate injured tissue.
