Myocardial infarction and the anti-Inflammation role for mesenchymal stem cells.

This study found that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) reduced the production and expression of inflammation cytokines, and helped to prevent myocardial remodeling after myocardial infarction in rat models. Their conclusion: “Anti-inflammation role for MSCs transplantation might partly account for the cardiac protective effect in ischemic heart disease.”
