Exercise training, endothelial function, and coronary artery disease.

This study of 19 patients with coronary endothelial dysfunction tested whether exercise training had an effect on their condition. Exercise training has been associated with improvement in myocardial perfusion even in patients who have progression of coronary atherosclerosis, and this study’s conclusions show that exercise training improves endothelium-dependent vasodilatation in patients with coronary artery disease.
