Exercise to help correct endothelial dysfunction in patients with chronic heart failure.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of systemic exercise training on endothelium-mediated vasodilation of the lower lim,b and its relation to exercise capacity in chronic heart failure (CHF).

The results showed that regular physical exercise improves endothelium-dependent vasodilation of the skeletal muscle vasculature in patients with CHF. It also points out that the correction of endothelium dysfunction is associated with a significant increase in exercise capacity.
