Endothelial progenitor cells play a therapeutic role with Type 1 diabetes mellitus.

This article proposes that endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) may be useful when combined with stem cell therapies aimed at improving vascularization, and the survivalĀ of Ī²-cells in patients with Type 1 diabetes mellitus.
