Diet and exercise contribute to improvement of endothelial function in heart disease patients.

This article details a study done to find out lifestyle intervention along with pharmacological approaches can improve atherosclerosis. One hundred fifty-six subjects with coronary disease were monitored with pharmacological management and lifestyle measures (including counseling and exercise training), and the conclusions show that lifestyle interventions, including exercise training and dietary changes, are important determinants of improved endothelial function and atherosclerosis.
