Curcumin inhibits angiogenesis and metastasis of different cancers via interaction with signalling proteins.

This review notes that curcumin has been shown to interact with a wide variety of proteins and modify their expression and activity, including inflammatory cytokines. It also points out that curcumin is quite safe, and has shown to be cancer-inhibiting in cultures and rodent models.
