Circulating Endothelial Progenitor Cell Levels Predict Cardiovascular Events in End-Stage Renal Disease Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis.

This recent study notes that reduced EPC levels predict cardiovascular events.  It finds that increasing EPC levels may play a role in cardiovascular repair and reduce cardiovascular events, in particular in end-stage renal disease patients on maintenance hemodialysis.
